As I was walking sliding to my car this morning, I slipped and went flying. literally. It was quite spectacular actually.. I haven’t taken a dive like that since my high school days when I fell down a whole flight of stairs… in front of say… 3,000ish people. Thankfully, this time, no one saw me. But being the most uncoordinated, unbalanced, awkward, ungraceful and clumsy human being, I still managed to make quite a scene and some awkward noise with it that sounded like ‘garhagrah’. My rear end then proceeded to hit the wet, cold sidewalk pretty hard.
sweet moves. go ahead and laugh at me. I’m okay and it's funny.
But I do have to say, thiswas was not my fault... entirely. I place part of the blame on my adorable red patent mary jane pumps I happen to be wearing. I they don’t do well in snow.
Don't judge me.

I totally understand. Beauty is pain. Next time maybe wear the uggs and pack the pumps:).
ReplyDeleteno pain, no gain :) but good thinking.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Sensible shoes are for people who have given up! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started dating my boyfriend, we were walking on campus and I was trying to be all cool. And I feel down stairs.
It was quite the moment. I never claimed to be coordinated!
I couldn't help but giggle when I read this. I know that it probably hurt, in more ways then one.
ReplyDeleteOn time in high school I had just gotten a brand new pair of shoes, probably a little too tall to wear to school, especially when most of my classes are on different floors. Anyway, it was raining that day and someone had walked up the stairs with water on their shoes or something I don't know, and I ended up falling down like 9 steps. Luckily no one saw, though my face turned so many shades of red that you'd think I fell in front of Channing Tatum himself.
My mom always told me "Honey I didn't name you Grace, for a reason." Grace is something I DO NOT have.
But I suppose it's the price you pay to wear cute shoes.
it's not always the shoes! i was walking up my street the other morning in my very sensible but cute snow boots. i started to slip, desperately tried to keep my balance, but ended up sitting on the ground with each leg sprawled out to either side, looking very much like a frog.
ReplyDeletemother nature seems to just always win.
