Dear Week-

You’ve had absolutely no redeeming qualities since you have started and I just have this sneaking suspicion that the rest of you will not prove to be any different. So, just please make sure that Friday gets here asap, mmkay?

Kthanks.

Cranky and underslept,

Me.

I run a tight ship, so BEWARE.

Friday night, I traveled back in time, something that I didn't think was at all possible until I stepped foot in the Mellon Arena.

I truly felt like I was 16 again. When Brit came out, I literally had goose bumps. And she put on a FANTASTIC show! It was entertaining and I loved loved loved the cirque du soleil-ness of it. Britney looked fabulous and I loved that Perez Hilton was the one to “introduce” her. I danced and sang the whole entire time that I have three very painful blisters and a scratchy manly voice to prove it.

Brit Brit kicked off the show by descending from the ceiling on a trapeze and singing ‘Circus’. She also sang some of her classics including ‘Boys’, ‘Me Against the Music’ and my forever and ever favorite ‘Baby One More Time’. There were lots of sparklers, pyro, shooting fog, lights and dancing. The sheer spectacle of the whole thing was STUNNING! She popped up from the floor, dropped down from overhead and, once, even hopped on a suspended human platform made from two interlocked contortionists [sp?]and rode it up to the rafters!

AWESOME. AMAZING. UNBELIEVABLE.

So without further adue, here are the pics!

I Quit.

I can't do that again... From now on, if there's a dog on the front of the movie with a big cute doggy grin on its face, I'm going to follow to instincts and head towards the movie with the man with a gun on the poster (big explosions...less tears).

Hubs and I just saw Marley and Me, and despite my gut telling me to stay faaaar away unless I wanted to be hurt, we still rented it. 2 hours later, I cried more for that dog than I have for any human person (in my defense, it's not like I've known anyone who has died...)

And whenever my mind wonders to 'that scene' I'm still nearly crying, even as I write this review. I loved the movie. Don't get me wrong. You will laugh and cry and never forget it. This movie is a masterpiece of real life. Marley and Me dealt with married life in a surprisingly realistic way with some of the funniest moments of dog humour that the previews promised. At the same time, never have I seen a movie before where my heart was torn out of my chest like that. For those of you who haven't seen it just know what you're getting yourself into. And although I knew exactly what was going to happen, I spent the last 20 minutes of the film just waiting and mentally preparing myself...and still I sobbed so hard, I could barely catch my breath.

Edited to Add: On a happier note, Britney pictures & reviews coming tomorrow! My camera is completely dead, so I have to wait for the battery to charge to download the pics. Overall, the concert was AMAZINGGGGG! [I have three very painful blisters to prove it]. Ms. Spears rocks!

Its Britney, B*tch!

To say that my inner teeny bopper is excited for tonight's concert, would be an understatement of the century. I AM borderline pee-my-pants PUMPED!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EXCLAMATIONPOINTSWEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, I was back to my 15 year old self, standing in my bedroom dancing along to Britney’s “…One more Time.” Suddenly, I remembered nearly a decade ago sitting in my old bedroom, hair in pigtails, chewing my bubble gum and reading the gossip mags talk about her “scandalous” outfits (oooh-ho if they only knew what was to come!) which I’m pretty sure I wanted to duplicate if only my mother hadn’t rigorously checked out every outfit I wore out of the house.

Agh, I cannot wait to see her again. And I also found out that they allow cameras [not like i wasn't going to risk my life, and take one in anyway] so im going to take tons of pictures and be back with a full concert review!

I'm sorry this post is so creepy. But I am creepy.
I admit it :)

I clearly spend too much time blogging.

Today, I want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to all of you who have avidly followed my ‘little blog’ over the past three months.

I just checked over on my Google Analytics, because it was more fun than preparing for my meeting, and I have over 100 followers! This means that on average 100 people daily care about my life? Awesome!

When I originally began this adventure, I really did not expect anyone to actually read it. In fact, I thought I would make it like a month before I gave up completely.

So, thank you, my dear readers, for reading my blog, for caring about what I write, for laughing at me with me and for taking time from your beautifully busy lives to stop by.

I heart you all :)

Miscellany

We had a super fabulous weekend and I managed to take a ridiculous amount of pictures. I chose some of my favorites to share with you.

Friday- Dayton to watch the ncaa games

Verdict in: Watching basketball for 12 hours straight did not kill me. In fact, I seriously enjoyed myself and would consider doing it again : ) . And therefore, my husband thinks he has died and gone to heaven.

Saturday- Out with friends in Downtown Columbus

Sunday- Outing to the dog park with my favorite two men
Tell me this doesn't make you smile:

And to save the best for last, here are a few additional pictures of Charlie. He was, in fact, around this weekend. He preferred to spend his time getting some beauty sleep.

The weekend went by in record time and it's always sad to say goodbye. Why can't the weekends be as long as the weeks?
Happy Monday everyone!

Spontaneity

I love the word spontaneity. I love it even more when we are spontaneous.
Anyway, today is our 6 month anniversary. Hubby and I both took the day off. To celebrate our half way mark, I surprised DH with tickets to March Madness games this morning. We are leaving for Dayton in about an hour... We are heading to a yummy breakfast place and then some basketball! We are both so excited! And as much as I don't like watching it on TV, I love watching basketball live. And today is going to be pure madness! Whoo hoo.

I can’t believe it’s already been 6 months.... it truly just keeps getting better. And I cannot wait for many, many more years of happy togetherness. I love this man and I am so lucky to have him in my life forever. I look forward to the coming years and the new adventures we'll have together. :)

Hope everyone has a happy Friday!

My Husband is a Mad Man

Literally. He has been counting down the days until March Madness for over two months now.

Not kiddin'. He is even getting out of work early today and tomorrow so that he doesn't have to miss any drunken stupor fun games.

He also plans to host his work friends this weekend. I have to admit I am excited to to have them here and so I volunteered to get them a keg and some freshamn girls beer, pizza, chips + dip, and other miscellaneous masculine foods.

After that, my plan of attack is to try to stay out of their way and let them do whatever. With that said, I will do anything to get out of the house. Anyone want to hang out with me? Please? :)

Edited to ADD: Today was the third day I have done the 30-day shred and I am already seeing results![my husband even commented on how great my legs and tush look]. I have been sore and in pain every day, but that just goes to show that this really works. No pain, no gain. I highly recommend this for anyone who is serious about getting in shape, hates spending hours in the gym and needs pragmatic no nonsense, just do what needs to be done, outlook on fitness. I will continue to post amended posts to update my progress. Best of Luck to everyone. Buy the DVD its worth it.

Major Butt Kicking!

So, I just died got my butt kicked, literally. I finished Jillian's 20 minute workout and I want to cry am beat! I am still picking myself up off the floor wiping sweat off from my face as I type this. I haven't had a workout that rough since high school track practice.

Serious.

This goes right up there with running up and down the bleachers in 90 degree weather. So to make this story short, if you are thinking about buying this DVD but are not sure, I am here to tell you to do it! 20 minutes flies by extremely fast and I can feel every single muscle in my body burning. I am on fire!

Edited to Add: Two posts in one day- I really am on fiiiirrrrreeee! But I couldn't wait to share this with you all. Now show a sister some love. :)

shamROCK

So for those of us who are professionals old geezers and cannot celebrate St. Patty's day on a weekday, we had to resort to celebrating on Saturday. Thankfully, there are A LOT of people out there who prefer to be hangover-free Wednesday :)

Here are a few pictures from our St. Patrick's day shenanigans. We went to a local Irish bar that had a big tent set up outside and 10 live bands performing on two different stages. We got there pretty early [hence my sleepy eyes] but ended up staying all day. We finally cought a cab home around 11 p.m. We spent all day Sunday recovering, but it was well worth it!

Ahhh Friday

This has been one hectic week. I am organizing a big event for work that is taking place next Wednesday and am feeling totally and completely stressed out. I cannot stop thinking about. I even dreamed about it last night. Yeah, I’m obsessed.

Anyways, I feel like taking a big vacation to celebrate and relax. Or more like a mini vacation to simply take a break. I just want to get away this weekend and sleep. But since that's not possible, this is my alternative:

(If the photo in the park and the veranda scene do not inspire you to organize a stylish picnic this weekend I do not know what will)

So, after work today I am going to pick up some wine and a cheese tray and hubby and I are going to have a picnic at a park. And even though it’s chilly out, I don’t care. We’re bundling up and bringing blankets. I am bringing music. The sunshine is contagious. I think this will be the perfect recipe to get away from our busy life.

Have a Great Weekend! Any plans?!

Sassy, Sexy, and a Bit Bohemian

Love, love, love it! And with Spring mere 9 days away, I cannot wait to shed layers for summery pieces. And even though my shopping mandate is still on, a girl can still look. :)

My style inspiration for this summer is Ms. Richie. Here are some of my favorite Nicole Richie looks.

These looks are quintessential Nicole: sassy, sexy, and a bit bohemian. I am totally loving them all. Nicole just looks chic and fabulous! And her trademark Jackie O shades are a must-have.

Are you a fan of her bohemian style?
