Kitchen Remodel

So it all started with a trip to Home Depot (a place where my hubby spends hours and I try to avoid at all costs). As my husband excitedly 'browsed' through each and every aisle, I accidentally stumbled upon the kitchen section and suddenly had the revelation that we needed to remodel our kitchen... I have hated the color of our kitchen cabinets since the day we moved into our house. So, somehow this weekend, I talked Matt into painting all the cabinets to make them look prettier.

I am not normally very handy when it comes to remodeling/ fixing things, but for some reason I was really excited. There is just something about owning our own place that motivates me to take on this stuff. Every time we do little projects around the house together, it makes the house feel more like home.

But let me tell you, it was quite an undertaking. My arms are still sore (at least they got a workout). Thankfully I'm a really hard worker!

Here are the befores:

Check back for the finished product.. The cabinet doors are drying as we speak.

Voila! So much work, but so worth it.
